The Institute of Aircraft Propulsion Systems (ILA) of Stuttgart University targets its research on the system aspects of aircraft propulsion systems. Main areas of research are performance, controls, turbine aerodynamics, design and life cycle cost including after market simulations. The research includes important cross functional issues of the Turbomachinery Industry, e.g. technicaleconomical issues with regards to development, design, production, maintenance and utilisation of turbo machines.
USTUTT (ILA) develops Life Cycle Cost (LCC) models to cover innovative technologies and will support the technology assessment using the tools developed in LEMCOTEC.
